Privacy policy
Effective September 20, 2026. We collect only what we need to pick up, wash, and return your laundry, and we never sell it. Here is the whole picture.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, mobile number, email address, pickup address and zip code, bag count, detergent choice, pickup day, notes you type (for example a gate code), and whether you asked for weekly service.
- When you pay: Stripe or PayPal collects your payment details directly. We never see or store card numbers. We receive a confirmation, the amount, the last four digits of a card where the processor shares it, and the billing name.
- When you buy a gift: your name and email, the recipient's name and email, and your message.
- When you ask for a business quote: the business name, contact name, mobile, email, address, and the details you enter.
- Automatically: basic technical information such as the pages viewed, screen size, the site that sent you here, and the city your connection comes from, through our own visit counter hosted on Cloudflare. It uses no cookies, keeps only daily totals, and cannot identify you or follow you across sites.
Why we use it
- To schedule, pick up, wash, and deliver your order, and to text you on the way, at pickup, and at drop-off.
- To send order emails: confirmation, a reminder the day before, a note when your laundry is back, and, if you have not booked again, one reminder about two weeks later and one offer after about two months. Every reminder-type email has a link to stop them.
- To verify first-order discounts and gift codes, and to prevent fraud.
- To answer your questions and handle claims.
- To meet legal and tax obligations.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, each bound to use your data only to provide their service to us: Stripe and PayPal (payments), Resend (sending our emails), and Cloudflare (hosting, security, storage of order records, and our cookieless visit counts). Your mobile carrier delivers our texts. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as needed to run the service and meet tax and accounting rules, typically up to seven years for payment records. Booking drafts saved in your browser expire after one hour. Unfinished checkouts are cleared after 24 hours. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; we will do so unless a law requires us to keep it.
Cookies and similar storage
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. What it does use:
- Essential storage in your browser to remember a booking you started for one hour, so coming back from the payment page does not mean retyping the form. It never leaves your device.
- Payment provider cookies. Stripe and PayPal set cookies on their own domains when the payment step loads, for fraud prevention and to complete your payment. Their policies: Stripe, PayPal.
- Cloudflare may set a security cookie to protect the site from abuse.
- Our visit counter keeps a random session id in your browser for this tab only, and a yes/no flag that you have visited before. Neither identifies you, and no advertising network sees them.
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop the payment step from working.
Your rights (California and everyone else)
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA, and we extend them to every customer. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. To make a request, email contact@laundrywashandfoldpickup.com from the address on your order, or include your order number. We respond within 45 days and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Text messages
We text only about your order. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Standard message and data rates may apply.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, order records are stored encrypted at rest with Cloudflare, and access is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
